When we got to the vet's, I put him on a cat leash and walked inside with him. We didn't need that box. Macky does such a good job in his harness. We waited our turn, Mac just hung out in my arms, and when the room was ready we went in. I removed the leash and harness and let my little boy walk around the room. He couldn't have cared less that he was at the Vet's Office. Here are a few pictures to prove it.
"Hey Mom, how come I can't lay on the counters like this at home?"

"Oooooh, what's down there?"

The Vet came in and gave him his examination. He was such a good boy. He didn't fuss or resist in any way. He just wanted attention and pets from the two "strange" ladies that were in the room. The Vet explained to me that my 10 lb cat likely had a virus and that cats all show symptoms differently. (Pickles had a virus when we first got him and he had goopy eyes and a runny nose, and lots of sneezing) Mac was just showing his signs by having white of his right eye turn pink and seep dark fluid. She prescribed an eye drop that was meant to take care of the virus, and gave us some lysine treats to further help make him better. (Pickles can have these too, so it's helpful that we don't have to try to keep him away!) Macky didn't like it too much when the vet put dye in his eye to make sure it wasn't scratched, and then proceeded to put drops in it. He was thinking "Enough already, you gonna pet me or what?" But he was such a good boy for the Vet and her Tech.
On the way home, I put Macky in his box and closed the lid. He didn't stay in for long. He was soon out and looking out the windows again...this time he was braver. He climbed out of the box and into the front seat. he climbed into my lap for a little bit, but decided that it wasn't as nice as he thought it would have been. There was too much going on and not enough room for him to lay down. So he crept over to the passenger's seat and stood with his hind legs on the seat and his front paws up on the dash. He was my co-pilot, for sure! He LOVED being able to look outside and he wasn't scared at all. By the time we got home he was back in my lap and wanting to drive the car himself.
Maybe someday, Baby Boy. Thanks for being such a good boy, for Mommy. I love you and I'm so proud of you. Kisses, Little One.
