it makes me so angry when i finally am able to grow my nails out nice and long (if only on one hand) and then they just start breaking off, one by one. UGH! all i want is to have nice, long nails, but i can't. that's just not going to happen, i guess. Maybe i should put some fake ones on. i guess i'm thinking about it.
here's the damage. This is my chipped nail, not the best photo quality, but you get the idea. a whole chunk is missing out of the side.
and here is how my hand looks now. so dumb. pinky and pointer are all i have left.
anyone know how to get long, strong nails? help me!

It happens all the time to me too. I had beautiful long nails for my vacation and since I've come back here I can't seem to grow anything! Uuugh! Frustrating-I've thought about the artificial nails too but don't wanna have the extra expense.
Just having one fingernail would make me happy, but I'm still sorry for your injured nail :(
