Well Hello there!
I know, all of my avid readers must be dying for an update. Of course, i've been so busy, but i could hardly tell you what with. Hehe...Let's see...
Last thursday i went to a Moby Concert with Josh and my roommate, Jenna. It was awesome. I LOVE moby, and may people laugh at me when i say this, but i don't care. it was awesome and i had a blast. this weekend was rainy, and i spent a lot of time bumming around from place to place with Josh. We had a nice weekend. Sunday I watched my big brother run the Twin Cities Marathon. I can't even begin to tell you all how proud i am of him. He set a goal for himself and he accomplished it...no matter how long it took him or how much pain he was in, he finished. And i was beaming with pride. I think he might have been glowing too. hehehe...What an accomplishment@ Way to go Pooky!
Ah, this week has been busy. I'm a little stressed because I am now managing a few programs here at work (i won't go into detail here, but if you really care, you can ask me sometime and i'll explain) and we're doing a new initiative with one of the programs i am managing, OfficeMax. (Yep, we do their EDI...every time there is stock on the shelves and you're able to buy the things you needed, you can thank SPS Commerce. kind of. in a way...) Anyway, I've never done anything like this before, so i'm working closely with our Sr Program Manager to have her show me the ropes. All this on top of all my other responsibilities...things are beginning to get stressful. It's a good thing. This is what i need if i ever want to get a promotion, but it's going to be a lot of work. Late nights, Early mornings...streeeeesssssss. But i'll get through it. I just have to.
This weekend, upcoming, I am having my "little sister" come up from Rochester to stay with me. Morgan is a little girl who i taught in theatre camp years ago when she was 11. Since then, she and i have become very close. She is now 16! we've grown together in the past 5 years almost as sisters. I call her my little sister. She reminds me a lot of myself when i was her age, very determined and passionate about life, dance, boys, laughing, etc. she's amazing. This will be the first time that she and i have done anything like this though. She's coming up to spend the entire weekend with me. Bless her parents for trusting me enough to have their daughter up in this big, scary city for two whole days! I'm excited. Morgan is a truly amazing, young woman and i can't wait to spend time with her..molding her mind and corrupting her!! :) only a little!
I'm fed up with the rain, but i suppose that's the way October is. I just hope it doesn't rain on my Birthday. I hear there is a wedding that day, and well..while the old wives tale suggests that rain on your wedding day means you will grow to be rich...i can't see anyone really wanting rain for their big day. What a mess. Brice and Jenny, here's to some early morning sprinkles! (Just enough money to live well, but stay humble! hehe) As For me...i'm honored to be a reader at their wedding. It is an honor to be included in such a big day, and well, i get a nice little dance party on my birthday as well! so, it's going to be a great October 16th this year!
*sigh*
i have nothing to do. i feel like i should be doing something, but the reports haven't come in, so i can't do those, I don't know what i'm doing with the OfficeMax program, so i have to wait on that...i suppose i'll twiddle my thumbs and wait for my college roommate, April, to call me and tell me she's on her way to the hospital to have their little baby girl! Any day now! Here's a premature "Congratulations" To both April and JJ Kirby! You'll be amazing parents. Ok..anyway...enough out of me. I have nothing more to say.
See you all soon!
