My night in a nutshell:

I was driving east on 94 to go visit My good friend April Kirby and her husband for dinner, and my car started acting up. Fist the warning lights started coming on, then the speedometer went wacky and just went straight to 0 MPH and sat there. I made my way to the nearest exit (Kellog/Marrion St) and pulled off, while on the exit ramp, my car just shut off. I coasted p the rest of the ramp, around the corner, and into the driveway of a parking lot. I was tucked away safely off the main streets. I calmly tried to restart the car, but to no avail. It wouldn't even make a clicking sound, nothing. SO, i got out the phone, called my big brother and asked him to come to my rescue. He graciously obliged. i called April to let her know i wouldn't be arriving for dinner. and then i called my father to let him know the situation. (parents need to know these things...) Here's how the rest of the night played out...

Here i am at the St Paul College, waiting for my brother! (I know Brice was right around the corner, but i didn't have the means to go and see him!)

My AWESOME big brother showed up with jumper cables in hand...

He hooked them up, i watched and learned, and we jumped it. we charged it. we jumped it again, charged it more, jumped...etc. it wouldn't hold a charge.

No Luck...we called in the Professionals!

He hooked up my car and reeled her up.

And there she sat...all the way back to 2243 Garfield where she was set back in her place, to stay...until she works again.

I am disappointed that i didn't get to go see April, but all in all, i didn't have such an awful night. It could have been worse. I could have been stranded on the highway. I could have been hit by another car. I could have gotten seriously hurt or lost my car completely...but it all worked out. I just prayed for my car to last long enough to get me around that corner, and it did. I guess someone is looking out for me. I can't complain about that.

a HUGE thank you, again, to Jamey. I am SOOOOOO Grateful that you were there to help me. I really really really appreciate it! I love you!
And to Paul...thanks for towing my car! Sorry if i made you eat your burrito too fast and it gave you a tummy ache. I appreciate your speediness!

Cars have a mind of their own at times. If they don't want to start they don't. Dumb cars anyway.

Jamey mentioned Brice...and i should have called him, but i wasn't sure if he had jumper cables...or the smarts about cars (no offense brice, turns out after talking with you, you DID know a thing or two) And i had already called Pook, so i just thought i'd go with it. anyway...when i have a car again, i'll have to go visit brice, to make up for not calling him! :D That is, before he moves to Champlin!
