A strange thing lurks in Windom Park...
Monday: Scene 1: The walk home...
Jenna and I got on the same bus at 5:45pm. We rode to our stop at lowry and got off the bus together. On our walk home, we came across a strange object in the middle of the sidewalk. As we approached i said "awww, jenna...it's a dead squirrel."
"EW!" she replied, "that's disgusting!"
"We gotta move him..look at his face! so cute!"
"he looks like an old wrinkled man!"
"yeah but he's still cute. You poor thing...I don't even know how you died. You don't have any blood marks or anything, you're just dead...let's get you over here in the bushes." Together Jenna and I nudged the dead and partially frozen squirrel off to the side of the sidewalk with sticks, where we covered him with leaves next to a small shrub. There we left him, with a stick cross and a blessing for a happy heavenly life.
Tuesday: Scene 2: Morning Journey...
I left my house at the usual time and walked past the assisted living building. I said hello to the black and white cat who sits on either side of the door in the mornings. This morning, he was inside on the bench looking out. warm and snuggly kitty! As i entered Windom Park, i noticed a gray fluffy something sticking out of a bush next to the swings on the playground. As i walked closer i noticed that it was the dead squirrel from the night before. "Oh you poor thing! Someone has moved you to a different bush! I bet a dog got you and moved you..." I nudged him fully into the leaves and kept on my way.
As i walked, i began to wonder if someone really had moved the squirrel. His eye was open and again, there were no signs of blood. I resolved to check the other bush on the way home again. Just to be sure that it was the same squirrel.
Scene 3: The Mystery Unveiled...
I got off the bus at my normal stop and hurriedly walked toward the bush from Monday night where Jenna and I had buried our friend, Squirrel. I saw that he was back in his original place, though the leaves and stick cross had shifted a little from the wind. "Peace Mr. Squirrel" i said and hurried away to the other bush where i noted my furry friend that morning. He was still there...."Two Squirrels? What the heck is going on here?" Both squirrels remained in the "squirrel fetal" position and showed no signs of violence or a fight for life...they just lay there cold and lifeless. entirely perplexed, i walked home. On the way i racked my brain for a reason these squirrels might be dead. Dogs? Foul Play? I can't say for sure.
Wednesday: Scene 4: Death remains...
Still there. Still dead.
Thursday: Scene 5: More Death?
Walking to the bus again this morning, I wondered if I might find another dead squirrel. I passed the dead squirrel by the swings and shook my head in despair. Then, something caught my eye. A small black object a foot away from the squirrel, laying very still. A small black bird lay dead in the dirt. "How can that be? A BIRD now? This is not right..." i said as i continued on my way.
Something is going on in this park, and I want to get to the bottom of it. Animals are dying and there are no signs of foul play anywhere...What could be taking their lives? What? regardless, whatever it is lurking in that park will be discovered. I will get to the bottom of this dead animal caper. My mind is baffled....

Creepy! I don't like it! Reminds me of the weird animals in Winona, except now they're not weird, just weird things are happening to them! Keep us updated! heehee.
The cat did it with his little pointy teeth. Then he has gall enough to sit in the window and watch what you do when you walk by. I know it was the CAT.
Dad....dick chaney. hahahaha. cracks me up. All of you are full of good ideas...i can't say i know what's going on!
