today i have had an allergy attack all day long. my eyes are watery and red, my nose is itchy, and i'm just congested. I forgot to take my allergy meds this morning in my haste..and i am paying for it now. (my right eye is chapped over where i will someday have crows-feet)

That aside, i'm going to go to HH with Tricia. I am hoping that my allergies doing get in the way of a fun time, but it's very possible (she says as a tear rolls down her right cheek) GAH...these eyes! i need a martini! $3 at DRINK! that's where i'll be! woo hoooo!

Now, i don't know if it's the wine or the long day i had, but i'm really tired. I guess considering what i did today, my day at work wasn't too bad. It was relaxed, and my work was finished when i left at 3:30. we then had a company meeting and a HH following. (HH = Happy Hour..in case you didn't know, Gran!) It was nice to sit with friends and chat. Catch up...BS and Laugh a little. I hope to have many more of those this summer. It all goes by so fast and before i know it, it's september and winter already. I won't let summer pass me by this time. Nope...not gonna do it. I refuse. ANYWAY..... After happy hour...
I then rode the bus home and went over to my brother's house to visit with my mom, Kate, Jamey, and of course Major Briggs! He is so sweet. each time i see him i fall more and more in love with him. How could a 7 or 8 inch-long creature steal my heart so quickly?! It's like a baby, only not. I'm lucky because i have both in my life...beautiful little Audrey, and fuzzy little Briggs. Who would be a more lucky Auntie? Anyway...this lucky auntie needs to get into some jammies and be a bum on the couch.

I must say, despite the drab and dreary weather that we've been having these few days past, i am in quite a good mood! I'm glad that this week is only 4 days long. It's going by very quickly. The workload isn't too much this week. I'm not losing my mind with stress and anxiety. I think, perhaps, my good mood is due to the groceries in my house (thank mom!) and the fresh air I've been getting. it's nice to be outside, now, if only the sun would shine. i have a mind to go to the gym tonight, but we'll see how far i get. I have the opportunity to go and visit my little nephew, Briggs. I can't wait to meet him. He seems so tiny and perfect. what a sweet little pup. tonight, i will visit.

For those of you who are really wondering what happened to my sensitive plants, i think that is it safe to say their sensitivity has gotten the best of them. They died. I watered them, gave them sunlight--both real and artificial, and played classical music for them. If that isn't love and tenderness, i don't know what is. i must start over....

i haven't much else to say...not this day...not now. ;)

I'm enjoying a Venti (large) Iced Vanilla Latte this beautiful Friday Morning. It's so niiiiiiiice. Today i dressed up because i am going to see a show at the Guthrie with my mom. It's her Mother's Day gift...and we're going to enjoy dinner and a play and then the comforts of my own home! We're going to see "Caroline or Change" and I'm really excited because the music is supposed to be amazing! I hope it's good.


Also, i have a sad sob story. I have fallen in love with a gay man. It's just not fair. I simply adore people who have incredible musical/theatrical/artistic talents and abilities. because they are able to create such amazing pieces of work, i immediately have total adoration for them. For instance, I didn't watch American Idol all season, but i DID watch the finale and Adam Lambert is amazing. he can do anything he wants to. I instantly fell head over heels for him...and he's gay. there's not a shot in the world for us to be together and live our happy suburban life. (ha, not that i want that necessarily) But i do love him. and when i say love i mean "love". Of course my heart flutters when i hear him sing, but let's be honest...he doesn't know me. and i'm ok with that...i guess. :) There is something about his passion for the work he does that just makes him...well, hot. hahaha. Anyway. enough about that. here's a pic of my love. *sigh* the love that can never be.

Well, last night I lost the battle with a scared black and white kitty. Buttons was playing outside, and i was about to leave to go to the mall. I have a mission to find something specific, and i needed to try to get it last night. SOOOO, i wanted Kitty in so that he didn't get lost. Well, as i coddled him in my arms, something scared him and he struggled and fled from my arms using my right forearm as his launch pad. He clawed me really good on my arm and my right shoulder. Here is a picture of the bandages i need to cover my three cuts. i've got another band aid on my shoulder as well. Since his little paws were dirty from playing outside, i made sure to clean out my cuts and i've got neosporen on them, but DANG they hurt. Little stinker.

I know he didn't mean to hurt me, so i didn't get mad, but now i just hope i don't scar. yeesh.

GAH! i don't think i can get through this day any faster! I am SO EXCITED to go home and see my family. Tonight i will leave from work, hopefully a bit early. Tomorrow...Daddy Turns 50 years old! DAD! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! YOU'RE AN OLD MAN NOW!

yep. this is what it looks like when i actually go out running. i don't feel so hot.
but i made it all the way to my goal without walking...so i'm pretty pumped about that. anyway...bedtime?? yes.

I'm a bit behind on my plant progression. I haven't been feeling well, so i have an excuse for falling behind. i wasn't here to babysit them. forgive me!

WELP..yesterday i attended Cuzzin Brice's Thesis presentation. Believe me...web trends are much more interesting than Monsters. What is this sasquach business anyway? i Rather enjoyed learning about web trends and how they make an S curve...how there are trends that involved glossy and shiney and trends that require the use of 3D glasses. Let's be honest, who doesnt enjoy a good 3D experience? I'd just like to say..Congratulations Brice Arthur...you're done with college. Proud of you! nice work and best of luck to you in the big bad world!

Also, a side note...i got to see AJ and Rick...Gavin too! It was nice to see them as well. i'm only sorry that i didn't get to talk to AJ and Rick longer. :( Or Jennifer....soon. Next weekend perhaps!? At any rate, Gavin is about to graduate as well and i would like to extend a congratulations to him as well. Way to go Gavin...you're about to embark on the next chapter of your life...it will be a lot of work, but know what you want, and go for it. no matter what it is. You'll be outstanding! Congratulations!

Well, I ran a mile last night. I ran to my big brother's house and then got some water. His beautiful wife drew me a class from the brita. It was nice of her. Nice and cold water. mmmm. after i had rested and hung out for a while, i walked home. i walked and then ran the last block home. :D it felt good to accomplish even such a small feat. ah! My body is sore, but i feel good!

Look 5 sprouts and one more on the way. he's hiding under the dirt, but will be out by tomorrow at the latest! I can see him and have faith that he'll be here by day's end. YAY! i love my sensitive plant sprouts. they make me happy! yaaay! (sorry the picture is blurry, i need a new phone)

Good morning! For a little while, the sun was shining in my face. See?

It was nice. I spent the weekend in the backyard enjoying the beautiful weather. Saturday i put up a make-shift clothesline and i hung out the dress pants to dry...and the extra set of bed sheets! Everything smells fresh and clean! It was fun to have clothes out on the line.
Yesterday Jamey and Kate paid me a visit. They were out on a walk enjoying the weather so they walked over to my house. I was having a nap when they texted to see if i was home...so i had a quick shower and hung out with them when they got there. We ended up getting some hotdogs and making them on the grill over at their house. It was nice. nice to sit outside and have dinner with Pook and Kate.
Here is a look at the plants i am growing at my desk. On Friday i went to Target and bought a small kit to grow some "sensitive" plants. They reminded me of when i was a little girl. I smiled and bought two packs. I came back to my desk and promptly planted them. I think i will try to give a step by step update of my baby plants. It's all i have to blog about, really.

Anyway, back to work! been here since 6:30am. ugh.
