I don't have a LOT to say, but i do want to mention that Christmas was wonderful! I had such a great time being home with my parents, spending time with family and friends. It was great! I'm excited because this week i have only 3 days of work...today is "hump" day for me...tomorrow being my friday!

Josh wants to take me snow shoeing for my very first time on Thursday. I've never been before and i am rather excited. a really really lovely coworker of mine is lending me her snow pants and coat to shield me from the bitter cold. Thanks Lorne! xoxox. I didn't get a jacket and pants that i liked while i was home, but i think my mom found one that might work. i just won't have it until after the new year. At any rate...We're going snow shoeing...then i suppose i'll probably want a nap, and thursday night we're going over to a friend's house for some new years festivities. Should be a good time.

Friday i get an hour long massage..(thanks Jamey and Kate, i'm finally using the massage you bought me for my birthday!) and i'm really looking forward to it. I bet i'll need it after i spend the day snow shoeing. Then...Saturday my whole family, plus Josh is going to see Louie Anderson at the Northrup auditorium. Mom, Dad, Jamey, Kate, me and Josh! I'm really looking forward to it!

So there's that. that's my story. Back to creating training documents for my colleagues! woo hoo!

Have a very happy new year everyone!!!

So, the Christmas Holiday is nearly here! In 10 days we'll have ourselves a "Christmas Day!" I don't know about anyone else, but I'm really looking forward to it. For some reason, I simply can't wait this year. I've finished my Christmas shopping and I've only got the wrapping and baking left to do. There are, of course, a few odds and ends left to pull together, but before I know it, it will be time to travel home to Mom and Dad's. I'm looking forward to sitting by the warm fire with Biddy at my side and the caramel rolls that we get every Christmas morning...only Christmas morning!! I can't wait to see my family at Gran's on Christmas afternoon. The food. The treats. My mouth waters as I sit here thinking about it. I sit here wishing I wasn't at work, hearing the mindless, uninteresting mumblings of my colleagues, but rather at home, basking in the warm holiday spirit. I hope that the next 10 days bring you much happiness and joy. May you be surrounded by loved ones and blessed with good health. And while you're at it...don't forget to remember the REAL meaning of Christmas!!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas time is near. It makes me happy. the other night i sat down in front of my TV and put in my Christmas DVD..my favorite childhood christmas special! Garfield's Christmas. You know, watching this as an adult, it makes me really wonder how old John Arbuckle really was...the way he acts in this episode is...juvenile. It's really weird that a grown man's parents would be telling him to go to bed, and then scolding him when he and his little brother go into their parents' room at 1am to see if they can get up to open presents yet. I saw episodes of Garfield where john went on dates with women. my assumption was always that he was a grown man in his late 20s or early 30s.

Perhaps i'm missing the point of the Christmas special...Christmas is an exciting time of year for people of all ages. I know that when i go home for Christmas, I find it super hard to sleep at night. i am always excited to get up in the morning and eat caramel rolls and open up gifts. The house always smells so good at grandma's and the memories of Christmases past flood my mind. I remember being the little ones in the family. Brianna and i always had to try not to look at one another's gifts because a lot of times, they were duplicates. (same gift, different color or picture or book..but a book nonetheless) Now that i'm an adult, i love receiving presents, yes, but i really enjoy seeing the look on the faces of those i have given a gift to...the wild excitement, the deep, heartfelt gratitude, and the love...Christmas is a time of year when we all become children at heart once more.

I guess i can see why John and Doc Boy got so excited on Christmas Eve..even though they are both grown men. Still, that being said, i don't know that i really accept how totally weird that is. Anyway...In honor of the Christmas Season, i have included a picture of my favorite scene in Garfield's Christmas...the lighting of the tree...

HAHA...a trip down Memory lane:

Wind and pressure belts? WHO CARES? I just got back from my geo lab, man was that dumb. It makes me wonder how dorks like Haywood can get into teaching! He's such a dork...he actually enjoys looking at the weather map for twenty minutes each morning. some of us would find the time better spent in our beds with our eyes closed! (sleeping of course) Seems that any Joe Schmo can get into teaching now days...
Professor qualifications at UWSP: You must have a high school diploma...you must have attended at least one year of college...you must be somewhat dorky...you must wear tight highwater jeans and the same jacket every day, you must have matted hair (or a mullet), and you must have beady little eyes that jet from side to side when you talk...
come on....Professors are supposed to be smart and intellectual, not some guy with matted hair and HUGE glasses who looks at a weather map for twenty minutes every morning not to mention his obsession with the word "AND." Could we have a longer run on sentence? Don't even get me started on Rodney Riggs...Mr. "i look like a gorilla." anthropology was so easy last sem. all i had to do was copy and know the bold words in the text book. SIMPLE. Oh geez....yet Geo is still my toughest class...go figure. Dork for a teacher, yet the class is impossible...could it be because we don't learn..we just look at the weather map? Very possibly. ahhh...that's better....no more ranting for a while. I think i like this page..muhahahahaha

Oh freshman year of college. hilarious. i REALLY wish i could go back and do that again. wasn't so bad in retrospect. *sigh*

Hope you have the best day! See you Thursday!

It's my favorite part of the day...

I love my Morning String Cheese snack. For some reason, around 10am, i crave it and it tastes so great. it's my favorite. My favorite brand of sting cheese is the Generic Cub Foods brand. it's the prefect salty and cheesy flavor. mmmmm, i'm enjoying some right now, as i type this blog. yum.....so delish!

I can't wait until thanksgiving. I'm so hungry for turkey, mashed potatoes, lefse, corn bread pudding, grapes or whatever kinda fruit someone brings. (i never know who is bringing what) and mostly..i'm looking forward to laying around in the food coma i deserve to be in. even though it'll hurt...i'll know it's just the repercussions of eating so much deliciousness. and it'll be worth it. Right? Lefse is always worth it! Always..am i right, Brie?!

(i hope there's string cheese there. hehehe)

I can't understand. I haven't even had it a month. i hope this does not reflect the way i may someday take care of a child...eek!

This weekend was wonderful!!!

Joshua took me out for my birthday. He had planned a nice surprise for me. Saturday started out by me getting my hair done by my beautiful sister in law. (Thanks for pushing through it Kate. i know you weren't feeling well, but i felt so pretty!) and then i went home and cleaned the heck out of my bedroom. Then around 4 i got ready and Josh picked me up at 5. he took me to my favorite Thai Food Restaurant "Sawatdee" and we ate ourselves silly. (i love their chicken curry puffs!!!!!) After that, he took me across the street and down a little to the guthrie! he had gotten me tickets to go see "The Importance of Being Earnest." What a great show. he had never been to a professional theatrical production before. he'd been to one high school play...so i think he really enjoyed himself. I had a great time. the seats were awesome. and most importantly i got to spend the whole evening with my Favorite.

On Sunday i got up and went to church with Josh. It was a different experience for me, because i'm not used to going to church, i have no objections to it, i just don't really go. But we went together and it was nice being there with him. i really liked sharing that experience with him...then we went to an engagement party together. We spent a good chunk of my weekend together. it was delightful. I really had a great time. Thanks Sweetheart!

Then, sunday evening after the party, I met up with my parents and jamey and kate and went to dinner. We got to sit around and talk...sounds like Mom and Kate had a great day thinking up way to reorganize the house...and the boys were at their beck and call. :) They probably were too tired to argue after seeing KISS in concert saturday night. silly boys.

anyway, it was a great weekend..followed by a rotten monday morning. (yet i kept myself well humored about it) i woke up late. knocked a bottle of nail polish off a shelf and watched it break on the floor. i super-glued my fingers together. had to drive because i woke up late, when i got in my car i dropped my keys down under my car seat. I drove to work and parked in the ram, dinging the car next to me when i got out. i killed my plant. i almost puked from the coffee i drank because on top of it all..i have heartburn. Who do you suppose deserves the "do over" award today? me. surely it's me.

Oh well...it can only go up from here. OH! I just got a lunch time text! he makes me smile. :) :) :) Ok...i'm gonna go eat something before i die of hunger...i mean, i guess with a day like today..anything is possible. :) hope you're all well.

what a gloomy day.

it sure is hard to be happy and positive when you have days like this, over and over. yesterday was so beautiful, WHY do we only get one day of that?

is anyone hiring? i'm sooooooo ready for a new job. i don't get any respect at this place. they take advantage of their employees and no one helps anyone here. you're on your own. I don't even have to say it, but i'm very frustrated with things right now.

I suppose on a more positive note: I got to carve pumpkins with my Beau the other night. Josh came over Monday and we put our creativity to good use. I had dinner waiting for him when he got to my house. we ate and then he helped me clean up the kitchen. After that (and after he devoured two or three of the cookies i had made) we washed off our great pumpkins in the bath tub (i climbed in with my rolled up jeans and did the cleaning, he dried them off--teamwork!) and we set to it. We saved the seeds so that Josh could bake them. He loooooves to cook and so he seasoned them right up and put them in the oven. after we carved our pumpkins we lit them on the front steps and got a few pictures. I took this one with my phone...it's all i have right now. His is the goofy one on the left, and mine is the mean bugger on the right. We had a blast carving the pumpkins and spending time together. I'm glad he was able to come over and do that with me. Was a lot of fun. Anyway...here they are. Happy Halloween!

I'm bored.

I'm sitting here at my desk, staring at the "cliff" bar i bought for myself to eat before i work out...wishing it was time for me to eat it. i'd like to eat it now, but then i have to let it sit for an hour and i'll be hungry again by the time i get to the gym. so waiting is my best option. i guess.

I can think of one million other things that i would rather do tonight than go to the gym. In fact, i have to go to the store for groceries, stop by CVS, Pick up my room/dust/vacuum. I think i might actually do all of that instead. if i don't do it tonight, then i don't know when i will actually do it. And we have someone coming over to look at Tricia's room (trish is moving out this weekend and Becca is moving in on the 1st) this week...so it needs to be done. ugh. groceries...i really need those. i wish i could run to the grocery store. i would kill 2 birds with 1 stone...oh well. gotta do what i gotta do.

well i'm sure i thrilled you all with this blog...i'll post some pictures for you. that'll be fun, right?
ok...

I did a pic and drive. wasn't it pretty that day?

My sweet little cousin Audrey. She was a tired girl at the rehearsal dinner!

BIRTHDAY WEEK...

may seem silly to many of you, and i'm sure it is. But i really love my birthday week. It's that feeling of excitement in the pit of my stomach that i've had since i was a little girl. The anticipation of a party and a cake and presents...oh i couldn't wait to have those presents. But now...i just can't wait to have people around me, people i love, celebrating the day i was born...and just celebrating in general. nothing makes me more happy than knowing i enabled my friends to have fun. SO...The annual Happy hour at Brit's Pub will be tomorrow at 5pm. Can't wait! It'll be a great time!

This Friday, on my actual Birthday, Cousin Brice is marrying his high school sweetheart, Jennifer Shevik. I can't wait to see the two of them tie the knot. It's going to be so much fun to celebrate with them that day...and to enjoy their reception...as my birthday party as well! :) Music and dancing...what a birthday treat! Really looking forward to spending the day with the two of them though, as they begin their life together. Best Wishes to you both.

Anyway...i suppose i'll get back to work. I hope tomorrow is a big turnout. looking forward to it! YAY! See you all soon! very soon!
PS. Happy Birthday Mandy Blum! Love you!
PPS. I had my friend Morgan up this weekend. Was a lot of fun, but i got sick on Saturday...and my wonderful boyfriend came to take care of me sunday evening. Thanks Josh. The soup was great!

Well Hello there!

I know, all of my avid readers must be dying for an update. Of course, i've been so busy, but i could hardly tell you what with. Hehe...Let's see...

Last thursday i went to a Moby Concert with Josh and my roommate, Jenna. It was awesome. I LOVE moby, and may people laugh at me when i say this, but i don't care. it was awesome and i had a blast. this weekend was rainy, and i spent a lot of time bumming around from place to place with Josh. We had a nice weekend. Sunday I watched my big brother run the Twin Cities Marathon. I can't even begin to tell you all how proud i am of him. He set a goal for himself and he accomplished it...no matter how long it took him or how much pain he was in, he finished. And i was beaming with pride. I think he might have been glowing too. hehehe...What an accomplishment@ Way to go Pooky!

Ah, this week has been busy. I'm a little stressed because I am now managing a few programs here at work (i won't go into detail here, but if you really care, you can ask me sometime and i'll explain) and we're doing a new initiative with one of the programs i am managing, OfficeMax. (Yep, we do their EDI...every time there is stock on the shelves and you're able to buy the things you needed, you can thank SPS Commerce. kind of. in a way...) Anyway, I've never done anything like this before, so i'm working closely with our Sr Program Manager to have her show me the ropes. All this on top of all my other responsibilities...things are beginning to get stressful. It's a good thing. This is what i need if i ever want to get a promotion, but it's going to be a lot of work. Late nights, Early mornings...streeeeesssssss. But i'll get through it. I just have to.

This weekend, upcoming, I am having my "little sister" come up from Rochester to stay with me. Morgan is a little girl who i taught in theatre camp years ago when she was 11. Since then, she and i have become very close. She is now 16! we've grown together in the past 5 years almost as sisters. I call her my little sister. She reminds me a lot of myself when i was her age, very determined and passionate about life, dance, boys, laughing, etc. she's amazing. This will be the first time that she and i have done anything like this though. She's coming up to spend the entire weekend with me. Bless her parents for trusting me enough to have their daughter up in this big, scary city for two whole days! I'm excited. Morgan is a truly amazing, young woman and i can't wait to spend time with her..molding her mind and corrupting her!! :) only a little!

I'm fed up with the rain, but i suppose that's the way October is. I just hope it doesn't rain on my Birthday. I hear there is a wedding that day, and well..while the old wives tale suggests that rain on your wedding day means you will grow to be rich...i can't see anyone really wanting rain for their big day. What a mess. Brice and Jenny, here's to some early morning sprinkles! (Just enough money to live well, but stay humble! hehe) As For me...i'm honored to be a reader at their wedding. It is an honor to be included in such a big day, and well, i get a nice little dance party on my birthday as well! so, it's going to be a great October 16th this year!

*sigh*

i have nothing to do. i feel like i should be doing something, but the reports haven't come in, so i can't do those, I don't know what i'm doing with the OfficeMax program, so i have to wait on that...i suppose i'll twiddle my thumbs and wait for my college roommate, April, to call me and tell me she's on her way to the hospital to have their little baby girl! Any day now! Here's a premature "Congratulations" To both April and JJ Kirby! You'll be amazing parents. Ok..anyway...enough out of me. I have nothing more to say.

See you all soon!

who ever even needs this much red bull? a friend offered to pick me up something from "the store" this morning...and i told him "yeah, a red AMP would be great!" (he said he was buying, so why would i turn him down?) He came back and said..."they were out of AMP"..and he pulls out a HUGE 16 OZ Red Bull. WHY WOULD HE THINK I NEEDED THAT MUCH??? this is crazy. but i'm going to try to drink it...maybe this afternoon. i'll have to save it and prepare my insides for such havoc. yeesh.. uh..thanks Mike?
Here are the three sizes, he got me the biggest. (8oz. 12oz. 16oz)

Tonight was a nice night. I went to dinner at Tum Rup Thai in Uptown and it was delicious...just as i remembered! I had some great conversation and wonderful laughs..smiles. was a good night!!

Today is today. Another day amongst many. This week has been so busy...

Monday night we had a party for Miss Jenny! She was radiant and beautiful, as always...but you can definitely tell she's ready to become Mrs. Brice Hemmer. I'm so excited for her!!

Tuesday I had my very first French class. it was awesome! I'm having a great time learning something new, we learned how to introduce ourselves and the alphabet. pretty fun.

Last night i went out for drinks. Sat at solera in the sun and sipped on a white sangria! yuuuum! it was nice.

Tonight i was supposed to go out to drinks with friends, but they canceled, which is actually ok with me. i'm really tired. so i'm going to stay in and do some laundry and get caught up on everything.

Friday i will sit on my butt..maybe grill food or make some tacos and watch movied/LOST and do laundry. this weekend i am sitting for Major Briggs...so it should be a fun weekend. i love that baby boy!

anyway...here is me..incognito.

it is how i prefer to be today....i digress...

Tuesday, September 08, 2009

You know...sometimes i wonder why i'm even allowed to do my job. Jeesh. Make one misunderstanding and you get talked to like you're a stupid, idiot who should probably just be shot. Excuse me. I was misinformed. Thank you for, very rudely, setting me straight. Ass. (sorry to those young eyes)I don't care how executive you are, that doesn't excuse you from using manners.

Anyway, aside from jerks at the office...I'm doing really well. I had a great labor day weekend...got to see my family some, and spend time playing outside. i was a lazy bum with my roommate, jenna, some...got to see my cousins Alex and grant. I got to put grant to bed for his last night of summer..or his first school night. whichever way you want to look at it. It was fun. We had a great time!

I get a super short week this week. Today is already Tuesday...and Friday we get to leave work at 11 to go lawn bowling at Brits Pub! WOO HOO! yay for marketing outings! I'll be spending time with my sister in law, Beautiful Katy Jo, this weekend too while Jamey and Aaron run a ridiculous race. Good Luck boys. You're ridiculous! I'm rooting for you though...despite my feeling toward this race!

here are some pictures of me today. yep. it's just the way things are.

that's me...take it or leave it.

Well..new hair. new color. new beginnings.

I don't really have a lot to say, but wanted to show you all the new hair. I had a busy weekend. went home and got my hair did. saw gran and gramps. spent time with mom and dad, came back up. I've been helping mom babysit Major Briggs while Jamey and Kate are away. Tomorrow i'll pick them up from the airport and bring them home to their baby boy! he misses them. here he is with his grampa...Good Boy Major Briggs.

well, that's about all i have. i think. *sigh* today is tuesday.
stares blankly at screen.
yep.

still Tuesday.

Well, this weekend was full of pet sitting. I sat for 5 cats and 1 dog.

Went to visit with Biddy, Babby, and Bizzy on Friday. They were happy to see me. We made some treats for Mom and Dad to enjoy when they got home and we watched some TV together. They also got to watch me mow the yard from the deck. They wanted to be outside, but were not excited about the big grass cutter monster. so they kept their safe distance. That night, after treats were made and ghost stories were watched, we climbed into mom and dad's great big bed and slept the night away.

Saturday, i accidentally slept in and had to rush back to the cities to let Major Briggs out. I went over to his place, let him out, we plaaaaaayed, then kate came home. I ran to my house, fed Butters and Tysee-Boo and let them outside...then came back to kate's. We played with Maj all day...Later, kate and i went on the hunt for some dinner...we stopped at the grocery store for some frozen meals, and then stopped back at my house to get the cats in and feed them. Once that was done, i headed back over to the Erickson's to get ready for a night on the town with Kate. We ended up going out to sing some Karaoke. Had a blast!

Sunday, i went to see my dear friend, April. She's going to be having baby Kieran in October. Their first baby girl. She looks Great and was happy to have everyone there for her baby shower. After that, i went home, fed my cats and then headed over to See Major. We had a nice afternoon together. then kate came home, we at chinese food, and watched TV. It was nice. So i had a very busy weekend...and i'm looking forward to next weekend. I'm headed home to get a haircut. finally...then i'll just relax at mom and dad's for a while. i'm reeeeeeally looking forward to it.

i hope this week mellows out. i neeeeeeeeeed to finish picking up my room and get to my heaps and heaps of laundry. it's disgusting.

here is my nephew. I love him.
heeeeeeeeeeey!

mmmm, delicious stick! seee?

Well, Tricia is in Europe. Mom and Dad are in Europe (well, on their way). Jamey and Kate and me...we're staying here. Don't worry. we aren't going anywhere...EXCEPT

Tomorrow Jenna and I are going to Lanesboro to bike and spend the day outside being healthy and happy. I'm really looking forward to it. i'll have to remember to bring along my camera so that i can post some pics for you all to see. That'd be fun. yeah? yeah...

Today i went to Abs class and my tummy muscles are getting tight...they will be sore tomorrow. ugh. BUT, i'm looking forward to a chill night tonight, then all day in Lanesboro tomorrow, then a campfire tomorrow night and drinks and friends. should be a really fun time.

HAPPY FRIDAY! i'm so glad it's friday..more so because it's PAYDAY FRIDAY! who doesn't love payday friday? no one. no one doesn't love it. *sigh* well safe travels to those of you out and about. I'll update later when i have more to say! woo!

And she has a ring!

Isn't it beautiful. i never dreamed that this day would come...

Friday, August 07, 2009

Good Morning Faithful Blog readers...

Well...in comparison to Monday, i'd say i am in a much better mood. I think the Dora band aids i put on my heart are working. Anyway...wanted to give you all two tips for having a good friday at the office...

1) Wear your glasses. Seeing is much better than having bad posture as you scrunch your face against your computer monitor...

2) Stay Hydrated. Just because. Water is good. YUM.

There you have it. My expert advice concerning a happy friday.
Anyway...for real though, yeah i had my heart unexpectedly broken on Sunday, last...but in this past year, i have learned how to heal quickly. In this case, and i know this more than i have ever known before, it ISN'T me..it was him. I gave him the better parts of me...the caring, fun, loving parts that make me an enjoyable person to be around. i took care of him and I accepted him for who he was. Completely. But now wasn't the time for us. Nothin I can do to change that, so i just put one foot in front of the other and move on. Onward and upward. Can't change these types of things. So..since it is you, my family and close friends, who read this...since it is you who may be concerned about me, please know that I am ok. I will be fine. I already feel much better.

Can't wait to visit mom and dad tonight. AND SEE EVEYONE AT the Luehrs tomorrow!!!

Amen. haha.

Why do i always feel so bitter after a heartbreak? I'm stronger, but bitter. Did i really deserve that?
Hello again my faithful readers! I hope this blog finds all of you well and in good spirits. You deserve that...at the very least.

I am sitting at my new favorite coffee shop, Taraccino again. I had a nice iced vanilla latte this time around and the same good looking young man...RYAN...made it for me. He decided to ask me a whole bunch of questions today. learned my name and where i live and introduced himself..asking me my name. I still haven't gotten the courage to ask him for an application to work here, he's cute you know! BUT...i do know, now, that he has one year left of college, and is, therefore, a youngin. SO...there's that. Now i can't hook my roommates up with him. he's a youngster. hah. aaaanyway...no heart in my coffee tooday. DRAT!

i've had an awesome weekend so far. Firday night i went to the Horse races in Shokapee at Caterbury Park. My roommates and some mutual friends of ours all went together and had a great time. I did NOT bet on any horses, but perhaps the next time i go, i will. It was really fun to go do something different like that. I'd never been to a horse race before, and it was fun to go with friends and watch the majestic horses just run run run. cool.

Yesterday, i went to the batting cages with a friend of mine. He helped me better my swing by giving me pointers. Bat weight, where to hold the bad, how to keep my hands together when i swing...all that good stuff. we swung the bat a bit then went to get some food and a few drinks. After that, i got ready at his house and went to a wedding reception for some good freinds, Colin and Andrea Strandberg, who got married a few weekends ago. It was a BEAUTIFUL setup last night between Colin's parents' house and their neighbors. Beautiful landscaping and the weather was perfect. I saw Brice and Jenny, Jamey and Kate, and some good friends i haven't seen in a while. It was awesome. I had a great time.

Now today, here i sit in the coffee shop doing work that i didn't do friday...and waiting for Heidi, to call me. Heidi is in town from Texas and is at the twins game. I wanted to go with her, but i really had to get this work done. and if i didn't do it today, during the afternoon, who knows when and if i would have gotten it done. SO, there's that. I'll be heading to a twins game soon enough. I MAY meet up with JD later, but it depends on if he calls or not. I hope he does! :D Otherwise it's laundry and cleaning day. oh boy! lucky me.

well that's about it from me. hope you all enjoyed your weekend. hope to see you soon! xoxox

Hi. So, on Saturday, before my wonderful parents came up to the cities to visit, i went out for coffee with my roommate and friend, Tricia. We went to a coffee shop in NE that i have been past several times, but never gone into. I finally made it in there, and i'm really glad i did! It is called Taraccino Coffee and it's delicious. the inside of the cafe is a LOT bigger than i imagined it would be, and the coffee was so tasty!!! When i got inside, i saw Tricia already there waiting for me. She was working on her computer. The atmosphere in the place was nice. Lots of art on the walls and comfy chairs as well as more sturdy chairs for sitting at tables... So i grabbed a coffee from the handsome man behind the counter and sat down at the table with T. We gushed for a bit about how cute the coffee man was...and then i noticed the coffee he had given me... the design was so cool! I wanted to run back and ask him how he did that, but i was too shy. It must have been his bulging muscles or perhaps that intoxicating smile...either way i couldn't do it. i sipped my drink and admired his work. i think i'm going to go back in there and ask for a job application...i need a second job and this seems like a great place to work. I HAVE worked at a coffee shop before, so i would catch on quickly...I just have to go in there when hottie isn't working so that i don't get embarrassed to ask him for an application. ANYWAY....

it's 9:15 and i'm already done with my work for the morning. So i've been trying to make myself look busy. can't lie though, i'm pretty bored. I better go try to find something to do. I wish i knew how to wrap the text around my photos. anyone? ok...*sigh* back to work.

How Sweet?!

The Inside Partner Sales Manager, Leslie, brought us marketing girls in a nice gift for all that we do for their team. We each got our own plant and i must say. I love it! How thoughtful of her. And it's always...ALWAYS nice to know that the things you do are appreciated by those you do them for. Thanks Leslie.
So, 5:40 rolls around and i wake up. i glance at the clock and roll over. "Too early and i still get to sleep for 50 minutes! Nice!!" well i roll back over, then i roll again..tossing and turning for 20minutes, i finally decided to get up at 6. so here i am, writing a blog at 6am.

Hi. I'm Megan. Nice to meet you.

Last night, i went all the way out to Otsego, MN (45 min away from my home) to do some video footage with Michael. Michael is a man i have been working with on some ideas and footage for a TV show that he will be launching in November. The footage he needed last night was for a video hes making for a charity called "Treasured Chests," which is in honor of breast cancer survivors. I didn't have to talk on the video last night, i was simply acting as the woman speaking so that within her video there was some visual footage of "her" reflecting by the water, on a rock, writing in a notebook. you know, all that kind of thing...think hallmark.

I think i'm getting sick. I spent the weekend taking care of the sick, and this is how i am repaid?! kidding, it's my fault for taking care of him. Good care, i might add...i don't make homemade chicken noodle soup for everyone. sounds like he's doing better though. that's all i could hope for.

Oh my goodness...i almost forgot...about 10 minutes ago i heard something hit my window (i have a window that leads straight into the front porch, i usually keep it shut!) and then i heard meowing...desperate meowing. Turns out, little Buttons..our precious little baby boy kitty, was locked in the front entry way all night. He got to look out the window and watch the rain, etc etc etc...chances are he was cold, damp, and hungry though. poor little baby. I'm glad i heard him...i saved him from his horrible nightmare.

anyway...that's all i have for now. I just heard my roommate get up and into the shower...i'm next. maybe i can doze off for 10 min. wouldn't that be nice? *sigh*.
Well..happy Tuesday!

I super can't wait!!!!!!!!!
What a whirlwind week this has been. Here it is, Friday already. Who knew? Monday and Tuesday were rough days to get through. They were long, and tedious. After a spectacular weekend, it was hard to get back into the swing of things. (This past Saturday i went to the Basilica Block Party and heard some great music! I was with wonderful company as well. tee hee...that's all i'm sayin!)

Wednesday was SPS Commerce Golf Day. we had an "off site meeting" at the Brookview golf course. I've never golfed a day in my life, but thanks to some basic training from my Uncle Rick, and some guidance from my teammates...i actually did a very good job. i made consistent contact with the ball, and cracked a few of them out there real good. We played "scramble" so it was just whoever had the best ball...mine was the best once. I was pretty pumped. All in all, it was a great day!

The days have been slow here. I'm trying to keep myself busy with this new program i have inherited to manage! I'm pretty pumped to be a program manager at last. Once i get the hang of this, i will be having a promotion in no time! WOO HOO! all this girl needs is a few more dollars coming in on her paychecks. that's all i need. *sigh* I'm a charity case...really. hahaha. "dear mom and dad, please send cash. Love Megan"

On another note, i'm going to be having a nice relaxing weekend. I'm spending the evening with a sick friend tonight. He's got one of those really bad summer colds that no one likes. I made him some homemade chicken noodle soup and we're going to eat that and have popsicles for dessert...and rent some movies and just kick it. I hope it'll make him feel better. no one likes being sick in the summer. no one.

The rest of the weekend will hopefully be relaxing as well. i'm going to do some work for SPS on Saturday, and then sunday i hope to go to a movie with Tricia and Lorne. But we'll see...ANYWAY...i better get back to it. it's really busy around here, you know. zzzzzzz.

My night in a nutshell:

I was driving east on 94 to go visit My good friend April Kirby and her husband for dinner, and my car started acting up. Fist the warning lights started coming on, then the speedometer went wacky and just went straight to 0 MPH and sat there. I made my way to the nearest exit (Kellog/Marrion St) and pulled off, while on the exit ramp, my car just shut off. I coasted p the rest of the ramp, around the corner, and into the driveway of a parking lot. I was tucked away safely off the main streets. I calmly tried to restart the car, but to no avail. It wouldn't even make a clicking sound, nothing. SO, i got out the phone, called my big brother and asked him to come to my rescue. He graciously obliged. i called April to let her know i wouldn't be arriving for dinner. and then i called my father to let him know the situation. (parents need to know these things...) Here's how the rest of the night played out...

Here i am at the St Paul College, waiting for my brother! (I know Brice was right around the corner, but i didn't have the means to go and see him!)

My AWESOME big brother showed up with jumper cables in hand...

He hooked them up, i watched and learned, and we jumped it. we charged it. we jumped it again, charged it more, jumped...etc. it wouldn't hold a charge.

No Luck...we called in the Professionals!

He hooked up my car and reeled her up.

And there she sat...all the way back to 2243 Garfield where she was set back in her place, to stay...until she works again.

I am disappointed that i didn't get to go see April, but all in all, i didn't have such an awful night. It could have been worse. I could have been stranded on the highway. I could have been hit by another car. I could have gotten seriously hurt or lost my car completely...but it all worked out. I just prayed for my car to last long enough to get me around that corner, and it did. I guess someone is looking out for me. I can't complain about that.

a HUGE thank you, again, to Jamey. I am SOOOOOO Grateful that you were there to help me. I really really really appreciate it! I love you!
And to Paul...thanks for towing my car! Sorry if i made you eat your burrito too fast and it gave you a tummy ache. I appreciate your speediness!

Happy monday.

I guess if Mondays can be happy. I think the only time i like Monday, is when it is my birthday...or when i don't have to work. Otherwise, Mondays are for the birds. I wish this week was going to be a short one. Last night i went to bed at 8:30. it was nice to sleep for so long. I intended to get up at 5:40 and run this morning, but i opted to do it tonight instead.

Tonight I am going to visit my good friend April (Johnson) Kirby and her husband. They are expecting a baby September or October, i believe, I am looking forward to seeing her tonight because it's been so long since we've spent any time together. She's going to make me dinner, and i'm going to bring a dessert. Maybe i'll bring over some popsicles or something. mmmm. who doesn't like those? We'll see, after this weekend, i don't need much for desserts! Anyway...

This weekend was nice to be home and see my family. I spent the day in rochester with family. I found out my "sister" Diana is Pregnant!!! She is due in January, I want her to have a boy, but will be thrilled as can be with whatever kind of baby comes out! It will be perfect! After that joyous news, i went to visit my little angel Audrey. I brought her some goodies, and a few things for her Mommy too. It was sooooo nice to just "be" with AJ, Brie, Auds, Rick, Chris, Brice, Gav..etc etc. it was fun to just hang out. Then we all went to John Hardy's and had dinner. After that I went to the Sports Authority and bought myself some cleats. Of course, when i got out of my car, i had a hunch that it wasn't going to start when i came back out of the store....and i was right. Dad came into town, took me to the store and i bought a new battery for it, then he put it in the car and it started. The light has been on and off since then (the battery light)and i'm a bit worried about my car. Really, who can afford for their car to break down now? uuuuuuuuuugh! But, anyway...i'm hoping it gets me through today. I realize i shoudln't have driven it today, but i need it to get to April's! Come what may.

Have a great week everyone!

HELLO!!!!!!

Well, Today is my Friday! I dont' have to work tomorrow. This means, i get to go home and meet Diana and Tim for ice cream at 1:30 and then search for some softball cleats for myself. I'm a klutz when it comes to running on a baseball diamond. I fell this last week and got pretty scraped up. Here is a picture of my knee..all bruised and battered. pretty sick:

So i also have a cut on my ankle, calf, thigh, and my left forearm. My hands took a good beating as well. I got up and ran to first base..still made it. I think i stunned the other team with my mad running skills. I made it all the way home and played the rest of the game. all this while bleeding profusely out of my knee and getting bitten by pesky gnats. it was horrible. But we won. we hadn't won a game yet, and this past game, we won. so we're looking forward to a new game to win on Tuesday.

I can't wait until the 4th! I'm looking forward to seeing all of my family! I think the 4th of July is probably one of the best days of the year! I just hope it doesn't rain! We're going to do the yearly death scene on Grandma's driveway...and if it rains, we won't be able to do it...and/or it will wash off anyway...so i'll be bummed. At Any rate...i'm pretty excited for the day! Looking very very forward to it. yay! See you all then!

Dearly Beloved Koosh Ball.

Thank you for bringing fun and laughter into my life.

For you, i will go the distance. I will weather the storm. I will love you until my dying day. HAHAHAHAHAHA.
alright, truth be told, i have lost my mind. Koosh Ball is the only ounce of sanity i have left. he keeps me grounded. he reminds me of simpler times. he lets me throw him around, pull out his hairs and shake him til he's blue in the face. that's a good friend. Kooshy...i love you.

giggles. told'ja i was nuts.
