Hey all...today was the first day of finalsand i'm tired. I'm sick so my body is achey and really sensitive to touch and so clothes are fun to wear...NOT! (but i guess i kinda have to) My throat is really sore...feels like someone took a knife to it and just sliced it all over, up and down. vivid i know, but that's how i feel!

Despite that..i'm sitting in a coffee shop writing my papers and listening to music. I need a good relaxing night because i had a stressful afternoon. i locked my keys in my RUNNING car. DUMMY! i just have so much on my mind....and then i forgot to get a receipt from the guy who unlocked me...so i had to go find his place of business and get a receipt..and i was lost and...UGH! anyway...here's some pics of the place i'm at.

ok with that being said...i am soo busy lately i can't see straight. I am trying to stay same, but sometimes it's hard. Tonight i will dedicate my time to creating a one act play. I really wish i had my old poetry books here with me. The poems i used to write. I could use them..they would finally be useful! anyway, i don't have them and so i'm going to have to make due with what i do have...my own mind. it's a powerful thing when i put it to use.

Well...
Things have been busy. Last night Jamey and Kate came to work and we had a blast! The weekend before i was up there to see them..and again we had so much fun. Last night while they were here though, we went out for pizza at Jamey's favorite place in Winona..then came back to my place and goofed around for a long time. Then we went to Blue Angel...a music show on campus. it was a lot of fun. Most of the acts were pretty good...as always it wasn't AWESOME, but it was a good time. There were some songs that were AMAZING! but you know...it was pretty good. Anyway, today we went to breakfast at Perkins (as always with Jamey) and Kate walked in wearing almost the same thing as me! HAHAHA....it's crazy! She and i are ALWAYS doing things the same..and we never mean to.

Here's a great idea...how about if the cleaning staff in my hall takes over an hour to clean the shower so that people who need to get in there can't because she is in there cleaning it...no wait..she is standing in the doorway talking to some stupid guy about stupid things instead of doing her job...there are people that NEED these facilities..i don't care if they are clean or not..just get in there, do what you have to do then get the heck out. and DON'T bring creepy old men onto an all girls floor and then stand and talk to him for over an hour while people wait to use the showers.

i can't wait to get the heck out of here.

Ok, just so those of you who are a bit grossed out by my last post don't have to look at it, i'll post something else so that maybe the photo of the gross oreo sized cricket (yes, the size of the cricket keeps getting bigger by the minute) will be pushed down a little. Ummmm, let's see. Last night i went to a coffee shop and did some homework and i really liked it so i think i'll be doing that more often. However, tonight i have to work on my business cards for class tomorrow. they were due yesterday, but i didn't go to class because i haven't been feeling well. so i took a personal morning and just went to work. my internship was sooooo boring yesterday. i worked on some video editing, but it wasn't footage that i took, and it wasn't really for a purpose, hjust so that i could play around with it. kinda lame. Today at work i need to call some schools in the cities and i'm really nervous about it. BUT i just have to do it and get over my fear.
Last night i went to Target to and bought some stuff...and i got a new air freshner for my room. smells really wonderful! ok...dang, class is starting so i have to get going. i'll update later!

Well hello avid readers!
Today is Tuesday and it's just like every other tuesday. only this day i want to be sitting in my room eating chips and salsa while watching project runway reruns from ANY of the seasons...and instead, i'm stuck in class (have been since 9:15 this morning where we prayed the rosary in my christianity and global context class...no offense to any catholic person who may read this, but i don't get it. furthermore...how is that related to global context?? i think she might have made the connection, but i was so confused and dazed by the rosary that i must have missed that part...ugh!) as i was saying, i'm stuck in class and i'm sick. my throat is sore and scratchy...you know, the normal sicky feeling. not a good feeling. blah blah blah.

I think that tonight when i'm done at work and finished with choir, i'll go home and take a nap. Yeah, i have a lot of homework to do, but i think a nap will be good for me. Besides, i was up until 1am doing homework last night...well i had a distraction when Mel came over to use the computer lab in the basement of my dorm...the other labs had all shut down..poor little thing. so i let her into my building so that she had a computer to use. and i made sure to feed and water her as well before i went to bed. I also provided her with music...gave her my ipod, i did. a right nice thing to do i should think!

Anyway, i better end this. i haven't much else to say and class is almost starting..i gotta print some stuff before we dive in. check ya alls lata! Muahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaa

well i had a refreshing weekend at home. it was good to go and sleep in my own big bed with my big fluffy covers and my kitty cats to keep me company. Though its never good to wake up in the middle of the night and hear a giant thunderstorm and think...."OH S*&#!!! MY CAR WINDOWS ARE DOWN!" let me tell you that's not a good thing. there was a small puddle in my front driver's seat...and leaves wandering their way into my car. i just rolled up the windows and told the puddle tha ti would take care of it in the morning...and ran back in the house and up to the safety of my warm bed. BUT THEN...i realized that the pillows i had in my room were all very flat and that i was rather uncomfortable...so i took turns switching the pillows and trying each one out for comfort. ugh...i had to settle. Now, next time i'll bring my own pillow..the good one. (i know mother stole my other good pillow and moved it to the guest bed in the basement...and replaced my good pillow with jamey's old one that used to have the garfield pillowcase on it. FLAT...thanks a lot. i know you'll say you didn't...but i know your tricks...you can't fool me. my bed had two awesomely firm and plump pillows on it when i left for london a year ago...and now, since ive moved my primary pillow to school, i've noticed that the second one that sleeps on my bed with me is flat! WHAT HAS THE WORLD COME TO???)

oh well..live and learn i guess. i'm the dummy that opened my windows the day before the storm for no reason. huh..wonder what i was thinking...guess i wasn't thinking. And really, if i wasn't lazy, i'd hunt down my REAL pillow and claim it back, but i don't know that it's worth the effort...i'll just bring my primary one home. ANYWAY...I gotta go write something for my class tomorrow...and i'll need to talk some of it out to myself...so being that i'm in a public lab, i don't think this is a good place to do that. i might look like a nut. so i'm out. have a good night kids! YAR!

At all levels...time just goes by too quickly.

Its already almost Friday, I'm three weeks almost 4 weeks into class already, September is halfway through, and Midterm is only a month away. October is coming too quickly for my liking. I don't want to talk about it, but know that it won't be pretty.

For those of you who might be wondering "what the heck do we get Megan for her 23rd birthday that is coming up in a month" I would have to tell you, that like any college student...i am broke. Broker than a person who has no money! So...if you'd like to get me something (and i'm not saying that you have to...by all means, i'm 23..i don't really need gifts) You might consider just sending money. I just bought my plane tickets to Italy...and they pretty much drained my account. SO...just a thought for you.

ON anoher note...i get to go home and see my family again this weekend, this time i'll get to see a few extended family members, i'm pretty excited about that. At any rate, i've been holed up in the MAC lab here at school designing a CD booklet for my class and i'm sooooo tired. so i'm off to bed. But i thought i would give an update. Hope you're all well.

Mel and i discovered Rusty the Horse our first year here at SMU. Mel was a freshman, and I was a sophomore. We took pictures with Rusty and quickly became great friends with the horse. Over the years that we have been here, i have often visited Rusty, but without Mel. Until now, our last semester together on campus with Rusty...we have returned to take one more set of photos. in one week from yesterday i will be a resident of Winona one last time. Ugh...get this over with. I'm excited and sad and scared. All at once. I don't like the idea of going back to school, but i certainly don't openly welcome the idea of being done with it either. i don't know what to think.

yesterday i went to Lanesboro with ma and pa and we rode 20 miles on our bikes. (i had a rent-a-bike) it was a lot of fun. good exercise and great weather and just a good feeling. riding bike isn't so bad when you are on a trail and no one can see how nerdy you look except the other nerds on their bikes. what fun! Anyway...i better get this hair dried before it sticks like this. YUCK!

Well, i guess i've been a duck for long enough. Here i sit on the deck during my second day off for the summer. Turns out i was not needed to babysit for the boys like i thought i was going to. We had planned for me to watch them way back in May, but aparently the plan changed...nice of them to let me know i suppose. At any rate, i now have two weeks with nothing to do. I quit working at Barnes and Noble early so that i could just watch the boys and not have to worry about anything else, but since they don't need me to babysit anymore, i have all the free time in the world! its good!

Since i finished my STI (theatre camps) for the summer i've been just really mellow. I had a wedding to go to on Saturday after my final STI show...it was beautiful. I really liked the color scheme they had going on too. dark chocolate brown with a light pink accent. really really pretty! Then on Sunday i worked my final day of Barnes and Noble and i received a beautiful boquet of roses! They were a surprise fromy mommy, just for making it through the summer with all my jobs and school and everything i had going on. It was a wonderful surprise! here's what they looked like!



Yesterday, i had a dentist appointment. Man i don't like the dentist! but now my tooth is fixed and i no longer have to worry about it. Then i went and hung out at the theatre with some of the STI kids and my friends that are still working. It was nice to see them all again. After that i came home for dinner and then around 7:30 went back into rochester to meet my cousin. She had some shopping to do. I gave her a gift card for Victoria's Secret for her wedding shower last week, and we went and picked some things out yesterday. HEE HEE...so scandalous!

Today i got up at 11:30 (haven't done that since may) and just bummed around all morning. i watched soap operas and laid out in the sun. then this afternoon i made cookies and had dinner with my dad. it was a lovely day of nothingness, though i almost felt bad for doing nothing. I'm not used to being lazy. At any rate...i hope to make it to the beach a few times this week...and tomorrow night i'm heading into rochester for some Karaoke at Westfire! WOOO HOOO! its a blast! Can't wait! Ok, well that's all for now. School starts in two weeks...yuck. let's not talk about it please. Thanks!

i'm a duck.

Hi. I've been gettin harped at to update. BUT I'd like to tell you that I haven't done anything very exciting. I just get up every morning at 7:30am, and get ready, drive to the theatre, teach kids theatre and dance, and then either A) go to work at Barnes and Noble, or B) go out with friends, or C)go home. i don't do anything extremely exciting!

I'd like to say that I went over to my cousin's house and practiced the song with him that we will be singing for his sister's wedding. Brie is getting married in October and we've got some work to do, but it should be a good song. The problem for me is, Brice had to play it on guitar in a different Key and so it raises the key in which i sing...and its not my best range. BUT, we'll work something out and it'll be alright. Just right for Brie. i hope!

Ok, so here's a little story. We have a house infested with Flies. Not just normal flies...they are HUGE, slow, stupid flies. these flies are everywhere. there are like a million of them and they just sit there. they fly really low to the ground, and they are so easy to hit and kill. its just really bizarre. so...these flies are taking over the house...and i'm not ok with this. gross gross gross. so yeah..anyway...i'm tired. its bedtime.

i'm an old woman going to bed at 9, before my father. LAME! tomorrow night i'm going to Karaoke at Westfire...9pm. be there! i will be out late tomorrow, so its early to bed tonight. so goodnight.

Well...i am almost done with my frist week of my second STI session. We held auditions and cast the show today...(grades 6-7) and i think it's going to be a good show! I'm wary about the play...it was one that was written just for our STI kids by a friend of Tim and Me. I think it will turn out alright though. We'll see.

Things have slowed down for me and that's a good thing. I'm so relieved. However now that i have more time on my hands, i spend my spare moments out galavanting around! so i still don't get any sleep at night. hehehe, My own fault!

Anyway, i suppose it is that time to go to bed. I just thought that since i haven't updated in a while, i should at least write a little about my life. Unlike some people...Namely Brianna...perhaps she's updated today..but last i checked, (either yesterday or tuesday) she hadn't. NO EXCUSE! ok....gotta go. later!

Well, Kids...School is done for me! FINALLY! I'm all done with summer school and it's great! Hasn't quite set in yet though. I ended up with a B for my final grade. I was sooooo close to an A in that class (anatomy and physiology) but in the end i just couldn't hack out an A. Oh well...a B is great!

Now Monday begins my month long journey through STI, theatre camps, and i'm soooo excited for those. I do wish Tim would get ahold of me though and tell me what the play is were're going to be doing, and get me the music and everything else. I'm going ot be so stressed out. BUT...you just have to take it a day at a time. Whatever...this will turn out perfectly!

Anyway, i have to work all day tomorrow and then Diana is coming up to Mantorville for the night, so we'll have some good sister time! I'm really excited. so much to talk about and do...it's going ot be a good time. So, on that note, i'm going to get to bed. I hope this update finds you well.

Hi!

Well, i had a great 4th of July!! It was amazing. My family is so great! All of you! Thank you for a great day! I'm glad we all survived the scuffle last night. Read the article in the paper...good thing we are all safe! I think maybe we might look to start a new tradition somewhere? That can't be a bad idea...least i don't think so. I'd rather not spend my 4th of july scared to celebrate. Anyway...school is going fine. I think i'm going to end up with a B in my class. RATS! BUT today i got my test back from Monday and i got a 76/80 on it. YAY! So...anyway...i'm going to go take a nap i think. i deserve one! later

Welp. Another week has begun. I finished my first Theatre camp of the summer on Saturday. the show turned out alright! I had a great time working with the kids and the other "teachers" and the like. I just really struggled with the stress load. made it through alright.

This week its just school and down time. I have my first news story this week. I have to go to a lame city council meeting on Wednesday to get the facts and then write the story. laaaaaaame. i've been really really busy and therefore sleep deprived, but this last weekend i spelt soooo much. it was wonderful!

Today i went to visit gran. She is doing really well and i'm proud of her for all that she has accomplished. way to go gran!

And for those of you who think my site is lame...i think you're lame and you can go take a bite! you know who you are.

Well, i'm sorry for the long wait on an update. I have been crazy busy with STI (theatr camp), school, and working at Barnes and Noble. I'm looking forward to this weekend because STI will be done, (though i am sad now, i had a good time. There are still two more camps for me to work...so i'm looking forward to that starting mid July) and i only work on Sunday! HOW LUCKY FOR ME!
I've haven't much to write as i haven't done much outside of school and work. This last session of STI was a challange for me. I had to work with high school aged students. They are tough to work with because all of the sudden there is that insecurity about them and they feel stupid doing the dancing and the singing. And for a choreographer, that's frustrating! But after two weeks they have grow leaps and bounds! Its nice to see them do something that they worked so hard for. Yay.
I've met some new people and made some new friends. Life is good. Life is interesting. I'm stressed and very very busy, but i'm in control and i like that. Its a good challange for me. balancing act!

so, on that note. I'm running on very VERY little sleep, i took a two and a half hour nap this afternoon, and now i'm going to go to bed. I hope to be in bed by 9. we;ll see! sorry for the delayed update, but like i said. been keeping busy! Enjoy each day for the beauty it brings!

Well week two done. I'm keeping plently busy with school, sti, barnes and noble, and trying to have a social life. i think i have a good balance..its not perfect, but i get a little of everything. i studied tonight and then went to meet a friend for coffee in rochester. it was a randomly planned meeting, but it worked. we never got coffee, but we found a place to sit and just talked. it was nice. Not someone i know extremely well, but it's good to get to know new people and i'm learning more every day!! Theatre camp is going well. i enjoy it every day. barnes and noble is NO FUN...well its kinda fun, but not tooooo fun. blah...i don't do anything, ever, so i don't have much to report. Just know that i am well and i have two tests this week. Monday and Tuesday. Tueaday's test is the first lab test! yikes! hope it goes well. anyway..bed time.

Well Kids,

i know it's been a long time, but honestly. I am jugging School, Barnes and Noble, STI Theatre camps, AND starting Tuesday i will be working at the DCI...the newspaper in town. So...if you have a problem with my lack of blogs....well i'm sorry. I'll so my best. This girl has to fit in trips to the chiropractor, visits with Grandma and Grandpa, as well as some social time. its a busy life for me!

Last night i got to go out with some friends from work and i had a blast! It was so nice to go and see people. I saw some kids that i knew from around Rochester, some SMU kids...a guy i met while in London. WEIRD HUH?! But yeah...i had a good time. Today i have been choreographing for STI...this camp session is working with kids who are only like 4 or 5 years younger than me. I'm nervous to work with older kids. I have to up the difficulty with them...just a little. But i just don't know what to do. Ugh. AND being that i'm not working with Timmy on this session, it makes me more nervous because i don't know if they will like what i'm doing with the pieces. I know timmy always likes what i do. And that helps, but i'm nevous that this dude won't...specially since Daved, the director of the Program, talked me up to him so much. ugh. Pressure!
